Joe Komodo's Famous Last Words - this is a unique and inspiring collection of poetry, which wittily comments upon the world, it's morals and how we live and interact with one another.
Through a combination of fable, humour and touching humanism, Joe Komodo conveys powerful and touching messages whilst maintaining his characteristic homegrown spirit and global feel.
The poems themselves are a hotchpotch of reflections as seen from a - Rickshaw window travelling on the rickety wheel of life. Each copy has been lovingly hand screen printed in Katmandu on Himalayan Lokta (rice) paper with designs by illustrator Toby Leigh, giving the books an organic and personal feel.
Leigh's charming and vibrant style can be seen across many artistic platforms. His clients have included, The Guardian, The Times, FHM, BT, Playstation, Toyota and Vodafone. His illustrations are wholesome and full of character, perfectly complementing Joeãs warm and accessible tone. All profits from the book will go to the Tibet relief fund, following Joeãs long-standing relationship with the troubled Himalayan country and his ongoing support of charitable groups campaigning for a free Tibet.
Komodo (www.komodo.co.uk) began his ethical clothing range 20 years ago, which grew out of The Summer of love- The Acid House Revolution. After extensive time spent in Bali and then Katmandu, Komodo began to create exuberant, innovative and affordable pieces, which sell in boutiques across the world. Komodoãs garments, like the poetry, are used as a vehicle to spread good vibes and to express Komodoãs feelings about the wonderful places and faces that have inspired him and his brand on his beautiful journey.
